The Baume & Mercier Riviera 10616 is a men’s watch that combines sporty elegance with Swiss watchmaking.
Housing and design
The 42 mm polished and satin-finished stainless steel case features its iconic four-screw dodecagonal bezel, which gives the watch an unmistakable character. The transparent, blue sapphire crystal dial with an undulating pattern evokes the gentle waves of the sea and exudes a refreshing vibrancy. Rhodium-plated Roman numerals and indexes as well as slender hands underline the elegant aesthetic. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the dial from scratches and ensures optimal readability.
Movement and technology
Inside the Riviera 10616 is Baumatic’s own BM13-1975A calibre, an automatic movement known for its reliability and precision. It offers an impressive power reserve of up to 120 hours and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), which ensures precise timekeeping. In addition, the movement is resistant to the magnetic fields of everyday life, which increases its durability and reliability.
Bracelet and wearing comfort
The integrated stainless steel bracelet with polished and satin-finished links is not only comfortable to wear, but also connects seamlessly to the case, creating a harmonious overall look. Thanks to Baume & Mercier’s ingenious “Fast Strap” interchangeable system, the strap can be swapped for another in a matter of seconds – regardless of whether it is made of rubber or steel. This allows the look of the watch to be customized.
Functionality
The watch displays hours, minutes and seconds and has a date display at 3 o’clock. With a water resistance of up to 10 bar (100 meters), it is suitable for everyday use and also for water sports activities. Luminescent hands and luminescent indexes ensure good readability even in low light conditions. The sapphire crystal case back allows a view of the finely decorated movement, which increases the appreciation for the art of watchmaking.
