The Davosa Newton Pilot Automatic with the reference number 161.530.40 pays homage to the classic pilot’s watch that combines timeless design with modern watchmaking.
Housing and design
The 40 mm satin-finished stainless steel case impresses with its clean lines and polished bevels that give the timepiece an elegant touch. The azure blue dial with a fine sunburst finish ensures a fascinating play with light and underlines the high-quality character of the watch. Arabic numerals and distinctive indices, coated with SuperLumiNova® BGW9, ensure optimal readability day and night. A domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial from external influences.
Movement and technology
Inside the watch is the precise Swiss automatic movement DAV 3021ND, which is based on the proven Sellita SW200-1. This movement displays hours, minutes and seconds and deliberately dispenses with a date display to ensure perfect symmetry of the dial. Through the screw-down caseback with sapphire crystal viewing window, the skeletonized rotor with Côtes de Genève can be admired. The watch offers a power reserve of approximately 40 hours.
Bracelet and wearing comfort
The five-piece stainless steel bracelet with a satin-finished finish blends seamlessly into the case design and offers high wearing comfort. The minimalist folding clasp with pressure release provides additional stability and easy handling.
Functionality
The Newton Pilot Automatic emphasizes functional reduction and concentrates on the essential displays of hours, minutes and seconds. The generous use of SuperLumiNova® BGW9 on the numerals and hands ensures excellent readability even in low light conditions. With a water resistance of up to 7 ATM, the watch is well equipped for everyday use.
