Description
The MeisterSinger Edition Best Friends (reference ED-STBF902) is a special edition limited to 250 pieces, which was developed in close cooperation with the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature).
Housing and design
The stainless steel case with a diameter of 43 mm and a height of 13.5 mm gives the watch a striking presence on the wrist. The midnight black dial shows a photorealistic, almost three-dimensional moon in the upper half, while an impressive representation of the Earth can be seen in the lower half. The two-digit numbers from 01 to 12 are arranged in a circle, and at 3 o’clock is the date display. The moon, hour lines, hour numbers and the needle hand glow vigorously in the dark. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the six-screw transparent glass case back bears the world-famous WWF logo.
Movement and technology
Inside the watch is the MS Luna automatic movement, based on the Swiss Sellita SW220 movement, supplemented by a moon phase module developed by MeisterSinger. The moon phase display is exceptionally precise and only needs correction after 122 years. The date display can be conveniently adjusted via the quick shift, and the rotor supplies the watch with a power reserve of 38 hours.
Bracelet and wearing comfort
The watch is equipped with a vegan leather strap made of apple fibers in dark brown, which ensures high wearing comfort and at the same time meets sustainable demands. The pin buckle ensures a secure fit on the wrist.
Functionality
The Best Friends edition has a central moon phase display and a date function. It is water-resistant to 5 bar and therefore suitable for daily use. With this watch, MeisterSinger is supporting the WWF together with the trade by donating a total of €250 per piece sold.
