Description
The Mido Ocean Star 600 Chronometer (reference M026.608.11.051.01) is an outstanding diver’s watch that combines precision, robustness and elegant design.
Housing and design
The case is made of polished and satin-finished stainless steel and measures 43.5 mm in diameter with a height of 14.5 mm. The unidirectional rotating bezel is equipped with a green ceramic ring, which is not only scratch-resistant, but also colorfast. The deep black dial with applied indices is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, which ensures optimal readability. The screw-down caseback is adorned with the signature starfish relief, a symbol of the Ocean Star collection.
Movement and technology
Inside the Ocean Star 600 Chronometer is the Mido Calibre 80 COSC Si, an automatic movement with an impressive power reserve of up to 80 hours. This movement is based on the ETA C07.821 and is equipped with a silicon hairspring, which ensures increased precision and resistance to magnetic fields. The official chronometer certification (COSC) confirms the high accuracy of this timepiece.
Bracelet and wearing comfort
The stainless steel bracelet with polished and satin-finished links not only offers an attractive look, but also a high level of comfort. Equipped with a safety folding clasp and integrated diving extension, it flexibly adapts to different wrist sizes and ensures a secure fit, even over a diving suit. Additionally, the watch comes with a green rubber strap that allows for a sporty look and is ideal for water sports activities.
Functionality
The Mido Ocean Star 600 Chronometer is water-resistant up to a pressure of 60 bar (600 meters) and is therefore suitable for professional diving. An integrated helium valve at 9 o’clock allows for safe decompression during longer dives. The screw-down crown with flank protection and the solid case back provide additional safety in extreme conditions. The date display at 3 o’clock and the hands and indices coated with Super-LumiNova® ensure excellent readability in all lighting conditions.
