Housing and design

The pilot’s chronograph is housed in a polished stainless steel case with a diameter of 41 mm and a height of approx. 15.5 – 17 mm – a striking, yet balanced presence on the wrist.

The matt black dial is stylistically reminiscent of cockpit instruments and offers the best readability with Arabic numerals, clear indices as well as luminous hands and luminous markers – during the day as well as in the dark.

The glass at the front is made of either impact-resistant acrylic or – for an extra charge – of high-domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.

The case back is screwed down, the crown and pushers are also designed for optimum protection – and the watch is resistant to pressure and vacuum up to 20 bar.

Style meets robustness – this makes the 103 ST a reliable companion in everyday life as well as in demanding use.

Wristband and comfort

The watch is typically delivered with a solid stainless steel bracelet in polished and satin-finished links – durable and striking at the same time. Alternatively, leather straps are available, which can be changed according to your wishes and occasion.

Thanks to the lug width of 20 mm, the strap fits harmoniously to the case and can be worn comfortably on the wrist – while the watch looks balanced despite its technical power. With a weight of around 74 g (without strap) or approx. 88 g in the steel case, a noticeable quality is conveyed without appearing oversized.

The wearing comfort is complemented by excellent ergonomics – ideal for watch lovers who want to combine technology and style.

Functionality

Inside, a tried-and-tested automatic movement (e.g. the Valjoux 7750 calibre or a variant based on it) works with 25 rubies and 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The functions include hour and minute display as well as small seconds, chronograph stop function, date and weekday display – in a typical pilot’s watch arrangement and with excellent readability.

A reversibly rotatable pilot bezel with minute detent and luminescent main marking allows precise timekeeping – mechanically sound and technically sophisticated. In addition, the watch meets demanding requirements such as antimagnetism according to DIN 8309 as well as pressure and vacuum resistance up to 20 bar.

Thus, the 103 ST is not just a beautiful timepiece – it offers real instrument level.
