Housing and design
The 1739 St I S is presented in a polished stainless steel case with a diameter of 39 mm and a flat height of approx. 9.1 mm, which makes it an elegant companion. The dial is galvanized black with sunburst finish, equipped with hand-applied appliqués and rhodium-plated hands, a detail that conveys noble precision. The front and back are protected by sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating on both sides (including the caseback), which brings both style and transparency to the technology. Pressure and vacuum protection up to 10 bar / 100 m as well as the technology according to DIN 8310 underline the suitability for everyday use in a classic guise.
Wristband and comfort
The lug width of 20 mm ensures harmonious proportions between the case and the bracelet. With a case weight of around 52 g (without strap), the watch is pleasantly light to wear – a noticeable comfort on the wrist. As standard, this version is equipped with a high-quality calfskin strap that takes into account the classic, elegant style. Can be combined well with formal outfits as well as in everyday life without being intrusive.
Functionality
The 1739 St I S is powered by the automatic movement calibre SW 300-1, with 25 rubies and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour – solid construction for reliable precision. The functions are limited to the hour and minute – deliberately reduced so as not to overload the stylish appearance.
In addition, the watch meets anti-magnetic requirements according to DIN 8309 as well as the requirements for pressure and vacuum resistance – quality you can feel.
