Housing and design
This limited special edition (to 100 pieces) convinces with a subtly satin-finished stainless steel case with a diameter of 38.5 mm and a height of approx. 15 mm – a dimension that interprets classic pilot’s watch proportions in a modern way. The electroplated silver-plated dial with guilloché and the high-domed sapphire crystal cover glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides ensure the best readability. Special feature of this edition: hour and minute hands in Ocean Petrol and Stop Function hands in Yellow/Ocean Petrol – referring to the corporate design of Commerzbank. The transparent sapphire crystal case back allows a view of the fine movement, including the engraving of the limited edition number.
Wristband and comfort
The lug width is 20 mm, which ensures balanced proportions and comfortable portability. With a weight of around 75 g (without strap), the watch is surprisingly comfortable to wear – despite its technical features and precise workmanship. The scope of delivery includes both a stainless steel fine-link bracelet and a high-quality leather strap with yellow contrasting stitching – matching the edition and the color of the hands.
Functionality
Equipped with the SW 500 automatic movement, 25 ruby jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, date and weekday display as well as chronograph function – all implemented in classic aviator style. The watch is pressure- and vacuum-resistant up to 10 bar and anti-magnetic according to DIN 8309 – technical quality that is a matter of course at Sinn.
