Housing and design

The Sinn 556 I impresses with its no-frills, modern design language and clear lines. The satin-finished stainless steel case measures 38.5 mm in diameter and is deliberately kept slim to provide an ideal fit for almost any wrist. The purist design is continued on the matt black dial: applied indices and numerals are deliberately dispensed with. Instead, highly polished baton indices and slim hands with luminous material ensure maximum clarity and excellent readability – day and night. The sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides reliably protects the dial from scratches and reflections, while a second sapphire crystal in the screw-down caseback provides a view of the automatic movement.

Movement and technology

Inside, the tried-and-tested SW 200-1 automatic movement works in a high-quality design. With 26 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of around 38–42 hours, the movement offers all the relevant performance data for a reliable daily companion. The watch displays hours, minutes and seconds centrally and has a discreet date display at 3 o’clock. The movement is shock-proof, anti-magnetic according to DIN 8309 and offers proven reliability in proven Swiss quality.

Bracelet and wearing comfort

Our version is equipped with a satin-finished solid stainless steel bracelet, which consistently continues the simple aesthetics of the watch. The evenly brushed surface provides a professional, understated look and harmonizes perfectly with the case. Thanks to its solid link construction and flat ergonomics, the bracelet offers a high level of comfort – even during prolonged use. The folding clasp with safety push-buttons guarantees a snug fit and allows the watch to be easily put on and taken off.
