Housing and design

The Sinn 857 UTC is a functional pilot’s watch with a distinctive character and high technical quality. The case is made of bead-blasted, hardened stainless steel and measures 43 mm in diameter – robust, modern and ideally proportioned for everyday use as well as professional use. The bidirectional rotating pilot’s bezel with minute detent and captive construction is provided with a hard material coating and is used for precise timekeeping. The dial is deep black and equipped with clear, white contrasting indices and hands coated with luminous material. An additional orange pointer tip allows a second time zone to be read simultaneously in 24-hour format. A flat sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on both sides provides optimal protection for the front and offers excellent readability in all lighting conditions.

Movement and technology

Inside the Sinn 857 UTC is an automatic movement based on the caliber ETA 2893-2. It has 21 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. In addition to the classic display of hours, minutes and seconds, the movement offers a date window at 4 o’clock and a separately adjustable second time zone (UTC) via an additional 24-hour hand. The movement is shockproof, anti-magnetic in accordance with DIN 8309 and temperature-stable – ideal for harsh operating conditions.

Bracelet and wearing comfort

Our version comes with an olive grey textile strap with a classic pin buckle. The robust yet flexible material offers excellent wearing comfort – even during prolonged use or sporty use. The colour scheme gives the watch a functional, military look and underlines its professional character. With a lug width of 22 mm and a moderate case height of 12 mm, the watch is comfortable and secure to wear on the wrist – whether in everyday life, on the road or outdoors.

The Sinn 857 UTC is designed for professional use: it is pressure-resistant up to 20 bar (200 meters), resistant to negative pressure and meets the requirements for a real mission watch.
