Sinn U1 B (Ref. 1028.010) – Diver’s watch with technical strength and maritime character

Housing and design

The Sinn U1 B is a striking and extremely robust diver’s watch that convinces with its uncompromising functionality and clear design language. The solid German submarine steel case measures 44 mm in diameter and is fully beadblasted, giving the watch a matte, low-reflection finish. The captive plunge bezel with minute detent and hard material coating is satin-finished on both sides and is used for precise dive time recording. The deep blue dial with white applications provides strong color contrast and excellent readability underwater and in low light. Hands and indices are provided with long-lasting luminescent special fluorescent paint. The scratch-resistant, double-sided anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensures the best view of the dial – even under extreme conditions.

Movement and technology

Inside the U1 B, the reliable SW 200-1 automatic movement works in Sinn’s own design. The movement has 26 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of about 38 hours. In addition to the central display of hours, minutes and seconds, an easy-to-read date window is integrated at 3 o’clock. The movement is non-magnetic according to DIN 8309 and shock-proof, which makes it particularly robust for use in the water and outdoors.

Bracelet and wearing comfort

Our version comes with the solid, bead-blasted link bracelet made of submarine steel – ideally matched to the case material and perfectly integrated in terms of appearance and robustness. The band links are particularly wear-resistant, comfortable on the skin and designed for tough use. The strap is closed by a robust folding clasp with locking element and offers an optional diving extension. Thanks to a lug width of 22 mm and the ergonomically shaped case contour, the watch is exceptionally comfortable even when worn for long periods of time – whether over a diving suit or directly on the skin.

Functionality

The Sinn U1 B is a professional diver’s watch with all the functions needed in extreme situations. It is pressure-resistant up to 100 bar (equivalent to 1,000 metres of immersion depth), resistant to negative pressure and meets all requirements according to DIN 8310 and DIN 8306. The rotating bezel locks into place precisely and securely and is protected against unintentional adjustment. The hands, indices and diving scale are generously coated with luminous material for perfect legibility underwater. The screw-down crown at 4 o’clock improves handling and provides additional protection against impacts.
